No brain drillers behind the decks and no statues on the dance floor.

Following success of the last year’s party, we go on with the retro theme, which our guests had enjoyed so much.
We invite you to a “feels like home” party. Live music, your dj’s with favorite retrodelic tunes, exciting performances, fantastic crowd - all guarantee to make this event unforgettable once again.
The celebrations will take place in Badcuyp, in the hart of de Pijp, a very lively part of Amsterdam with it’s windows on Albert Cuyp market, cradle of cheap chic of Amsterdam. MD will transform this cozy jazzheads’ club into a boudoir of Ellochka Lyudoyedochka (Ella The Cannibal), notorious character of all-time favorite book “12 chairs” by Ilf and Petrov.

The New Economical Politics of small-scale private businesses were introduced nearly hundred years ago to save the young communist revolution in Russia. NEP caused quick explosion of excessive wealth, decadence and glamour for the few. Nightclubs were roaring like there’s no tomorrow. New dance crazes Charleston and Foxtrot filled the dance floors with swinging legs and limbs, diamonds blinked in champagne bubbles. But this colorful feast of life was doomed, giving its place to somberness of Stalinist regime.

On January 13, 2011 Moskow Diskow glimpses back to history repeating. The Roaring Twenties are full on and fully in. Moskow Diskow invites you to the Russian New Year 2011 celebration in the 20's style!

It will be held in a very particular venue – Studio 150, a prominent recording studio situated in the heart of Amsterdam. Already the list of stars who recorded here raises curiosity: David Bowie, George Clinton, Al Jerreau, Bootsy Collins, Paul Weller, Spargo, Bon Jovi… This place has a vintage atmosphere perfectly suitable for the Russian Twenties bootleg party. There are two rooms spacious enough to make 150 guests feel comfortable. For Moskow Diskow Studio 150 provides a high-end quality sound system, normally used in recording sessions. There is also a winter garden, which will be available to our guests.

De Nieuwe Economische Politiek (NEP) van kleinschalige particuliere bedrijven werd bijna honderd jaar geleden geintroduceerd om de jonge communistische revolutie in Rusland te redden. De NEP veroorzaakte een explosie van buitensporige rijkdom, decadentie en glamour voor de happy few. Nachtclubs feestten alsof er geen morgen was, de nieuwe dans rages Charleston en Foxtrot vulde de dansvloeren met swingende benen en ledematen, diamanten fonkelden in de bubbels van champagne. Maar dit kleurrijke feest van het leven was gedoemd was, en moest haar plek afstaan aan de somberheid van het stalinistische regime.

Op 13 januari 2011 kijkt Moskow Diskow terug op de geschiedenis die zich herhaalt. De Roaring Twenties draait op volle toeren en zijn volkomen in. Moskow Diskow nodigt u uit om het Russische Nieuwjaar 2011 te vieren in jaren '20 stijl!
Het zal gehouden worden op een zeer bijzondere locatie - Studio 150, een prominente opnamestudio gelegen in het hart van Amsterdam. Alleen al de lijst van sterren die hier opnames maakten prikkelt de nieuwsgierigheid : David Bowie, George Clinton, Al Jarreau , Bootsy Collins, Paul Weller, Spargo, Bon Jovi... Deze plek heeft een vintage sfeer dat perfect geschikt is voor het Russische Twenties NEP bootleg party. De twee zalen zijn ruim genoeg voor het comfort van 150 gasten. Voor Moskow Diskow levert Studio 150 een high-end geluidssysteem, dat gewoonlijk wordt gebruikt tijdens opname-sessies. Er is ook een wintertuin beschikbaar voor onze gasten.
